Welcome to the third and final instalment in this series, where I look  at the jerks of Warcraft who go around masquerading as ‘really nice guys’. My apologies for getting this post out a little later than planned. You see I could have just gone after my nemesis and been done with it, but instead I decided to hold a massive tournament, for no real tactical benefit, and basically just to waste people’s lives in a crude effort to show how great I am. Oh wait, that wasn’t me, that’s this week’s target of my unbridled scorn and derision: Tirion ‘I’ve got a shiny sword’ Fordring.

Hire me – I play Warcraft!

Work, work!

So today at the place where I intern there was a big crisis – a ton of information booklets for some prospective TAs needed to be done by the end of the day. Cue me dropping everything in order to put together 8 massive booklets complete with snazzy pictures. My colleagues were well impressed, commenting on my aptitude for combining text, pictures and information in a functional but pretty format. My instant reaction to this, was “It’s easy – I do this kind of thing with my WoW interface all the time!”. It was true, I do have a lot of practice at positioning items on a screen to find a good balance. It’s hardly rocket surgery!

Nice Guys Finish Last: Med’an

Welcome to the second instalment of this series, where I decide to let the truth be known about certain supposed ‘good guys’ who are stomping around the lore being complete jerks. Having shown how A’dal is actually an evil mastermind, today I will be dealing with a terrible threat which may one day soon be released upon Azeroth. The true horror of the forthcoming Cataclysm is not Deathwing or the falling property prices in Darkshore, but takes the form of a rather annoying hybrid boy-hero, known as Med’an.

Nice Guys Finish Last: A’dal

When it comes to Warcraft lore, I can’t get enough of it. I love the stuff. Great story arcs, gorgeous settings, cool and exciting characters. However there a few characters in the lore who I’m fond of. In fact I find them intensely annoying! The funny thing is, its not the usual suspects like Garrosh Hellscream or Varian Wrynn (despite what I did to his face), essentially because whilst they can be annoying, they are annoying because of the flaws written into their character, which is totally acceptable. No, the ones that really piss me off are often the “good guys”. You know the ones, the guys who aren’t content with just being a hero and have to go around highlighting how made of win they are. So, in my next few posts I’m going to release my well-deserved fury on my top 3 nice-guy jerks of Warcraft. To start us off, this week I’ll be looking at A’dal.
